Train for a rewarding career in healthcare

Online College Credit Certificate Program: NFC's Medical Information Coder/Biller program prepares students to enter the workforce as trained medical coding and billing professionals.

Medical billing and coding professionals specialize in coding patients' medical information for billing purposes in a variety of settings such as hospitals, physicians' offices, medical clinics, nursing homes and insurance companies.

Students are introduced to anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, International Classifications of Diseases (ICD-10), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), and reimbursement methodologies.

National Level Certification

NFC's Medical Information Biller/Coder program (college credit certificate) prepares students for the Certified Coding Associate (CCA®) exam offered by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Once the credential is acquired, students can enter the healthcare profession as a certified coder. The CCA® credential distinguishes coders by exhibiting commitment and demonstrating coding competencies across all settings.
