NFC announces Fall Term 2022 CDL program orientation dates and free CDL permit prep classes
ENROLLING NOW: 12-WEEK CDL CLASS BEGINS AUG. 5 AT NFC
MADISON, FL (April 21, 2022) - North Florida College is gearing up to begin a Fall 2022 Commercial Vehicle Driving class in August that can help students quickly gain the knowledge and skills required to become a safe and successful member of the trucking industry. The following orientation sessions and Class A CDL Permit Study Preparation classes are planned to help assist potential students with the enrollment process. Upcoming CDL New Student Orientation Sessions:
- Tuesday, May 3, 2022 – 9 a.m.
- Thursday, May 5, 2022 – 2 p.m.

FREE Class A CDL Permit Study Preparation Class (July 9 or July 16). Those looking to enroll in the upcoming Commercial Vehicle Driving course at NFC must have a Florida Class A CDL permit prior to starting class. NFC is offering two free Class A CDL permit study preparation classes; one on Saturday, July 9 and another July 16 from 4-6 p.m. For information or to preregister, contact Heather Smith at 850-973-9454 or smithh@nfc.edu.
Financial Aid Opportunities May be Available. Tuition assistance for NFC's CDL program may be available through CareerSource North Florida's Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act program (apply by June 10) or the NFC Foundation to qualifying applicants. More About NFC’s CDL Training Program: During the 12-week program, NFC’s experienced instructors share insights from the road and teach valuable concepts related to operating a tractor-trailer and earning Commercial Driver’s License-Class A (CDL) certification. Students learn to drive on various terrains, practice driving during the day and at night, and have exposure to timber trucking through partnerships with area logging companies.
