NFCC offering fun and innovative summer camps
Madison, FL - North Florida Community College is excited to announce the lineup for its 2017 summer camp programs. Each camp provides participants with fun and innovative opportunities across a wide array of interests - fitness, cooking, art, theatre, health and STEM - as well as offering creative and educational outlets for local children over the summer. All are encouraged to register or nominate an eligible child to participate in any of NFCC's exciting Summer Camp Programs.
"Kids in College" Summer Camps | Open to Completed 1st - Completed 6th Grade Students
Four camps are being offered as a part of the "Kids in College" summer camp program on the NFCC campus for children in completed 1st through 6th grades – Kelly Center Kids Fitness Camp, Art Camp, Cooking Camp and Theater Camp - June 12-29 and July 10-27 at varying times (see schedule below). Camps will run Monday through Thursday with no camps scheduled during the week of July 4-July 7.
Morning Session: Kelly Center Kids Fitness and Art Camps
- DATES: June 12-29 and July 10-27 (Monday-Thursday), 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
- LOCATION: NFCC Student Center (Building 9)
- CAMP FEE: Camp costs vary and are based on half or full day camp options. Discounts will be applied for each second and third child in a family enrolled.
- REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Children attending camp must be registered prior to the first day of camp
Afternoon Session: Cooking and Theatre Camps
- DATES: June 12-29 and July 10-27 (Monday-Thursday), 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.
- LOCATION: NFCC Student Center (Building 9)
- CAMP FEE: Camp costs vary and are based on half or full day camp options. Discounts will be applied for each second and third child in a family enrolled.

Health Scholars Camp | Open to 6th and 7th Grade Students
This three-day camp explores healthcare topics and careers – nursing, science, fitness and nutrition – in engaging, fun and educational ways. Campers will enjoy games, team building exercises, guest speakers and field trips to local healthcare facilities. NFCC’s Health Scholars Camp is offered in three locations this Summer 2017. All participants must be nominated by completing the Health Scholars Camp Nomination form, if selected there is no cost of attendance.

Robotics Camp | Open to 6th-8th Grade Students
Create LEGO MINDSTORM V3 robots, participate in robotic challenges, explore engineering and enjoy STEM related activities. No robotics experience required!
- DATES: June 26-28 (Monday-Wednesday), 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
- LOCATION: NFCC Career & Technical Education Center, Bldg. 13, Automation and Production Technology Classroom-RM 211
- CAMP FEE: FREE - includes Camp T-Shirt
Campers will be responsible for bringing their own lunch - REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Register by Thursday, June 15, 2017

Engineering Technology Camp | Open to 10th-12th Grade Students
Design dynamic, industrial processes using mechatronics concepts. Immerse yourself in a virtual automated factory & watch it work in the real world.Explore Engineering Design Concepts, Write Code Programs, Learn about SOLIDWORKS Design Software and 3-D Printing, Conveyor & Robotic Systems Simulators.
- DATES: July 10-14 (Monday-Friday), 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
- LOCATION: NFCC Career & Technical Education Center, Bldg. 13, Automation and Production Technology Classroom-RM 211
- CAMP FEE: $45 - Lunch Provided | Camp T-Shirt
