Advanced Placement®
Advanced Placement® (AP) exams are taken after students complete the corresponding
AP course in high school. Students who earn required scores on an AP exam may receive
college credit for their demonstrated mastery in these college-level subject areas.
A minimum score of 3 is needed receive college credit and students must have their
official AP Score Reports sent directly to NFC to receive the credit. Students may
transfer up to 45 credit hours based on their AP credit-by-examination scores. See the passing scores and credit equivalencies for these assessments (PDF provided by Florida Department of Education). Contact your high school counselor
for information about taking a high school course with corresponding AP exam.
