Local cast and crew bring comedy to Van H. Priest Auditorium stage

NFCC Community Theatre Presents “The Curious Savage” Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28

2018 Cast of The Curious SavageMADISON, FL– Local stars in the North Florida Community College community theatre troupe, the Sentinel Upstage Players, have been practicing and perfecting their upcoming roles in the fun and zany comedy “The Curious Savage” and are ready to bring the production to life Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28 at NFCC’s Van H. Priest Auditorium. The performance, rated PG 13, begins at 7 p.m. each night. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are only $6 and will be available at the door prior to each show.

The play, written by John Patrick and directed by NFCC’s own Denise Bell, centers around the eccentric Mrs. Savage who is left $10 million dollars by her late husband and wants to make the best use of it. Her wish is to use the money to help others realize their dreams, but her grown stepchildren will do anything to keep her from squandering away "their" money in such a manner, so they have her committed to a sanatorium in an effort to get the money. With the help of Mrs. Savage's new friends, she leads the stepchildren on a merry chase, and learns the true meaning of family in the process.
