Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC) Class Begins August 5
MADISON, FL – The North Florida College Early Childhood Education department is enrolling now for its fall Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC) program. Class begins Aug. 5 and can be completed in one semester or 18 weeks.
The ECPC course is an approved credential for VPK instructors and meets the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Staff Credential requirements. The program is eligible for federal financial aid and the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Scholarship Program. Students of the ECPC program gain valuable experience working in early childcare centers outside of class. The course is also aligned with National Child Development Associate (CDA) credentialing allowing students to seek national certification through additional requirements and fee payment. A Level II Background screening is required to enroll in the course.
Class meets from 5-8 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays for 10 weeks; moves to just Tuesdays and Thursdays for four weeks; and meets on Tuesdays for the remaining four weeks of the course. Students with the required DCF 40-hour child care training certification may start in week seven of the course.
Classes for North Florida College’s Child Care Center Operations certificate program and Birth-Five Florida Child Care Professional certificate (FCCPC) program are also set to begin in August.
