NFC Perry Location Coming Spring 2023

MADISON, FL (November 22, 2022) – North Florida College serves the distinct educational needs of its six-county district, including Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Madison, Suwannee, and Taylor counties.

For many potential students, a strong deterrent to starting college is the distance between their home and NFC’s main campus in Madison.

The initial college process may require a potential student to interact in-person with NFC staff to either take entry exams, receive financial aid assistance, or meet one-on-one with an academic advisor.

Additionally, while NFC offers a variety of degrees and workforce programs completely online, including its Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Associate in Arts degrees, there are many courses and programs where in-person instruction is a requirement and sometimes a preference for students.

“We listen to students when they share what prevents them from pursuing or even completing their goals,” states NFC President, John Grosskopf. “If driving distance is an obstacle, then we will do what it takes to overcome it.”

Since 2021, NFC has strived to identify the ideal facility to best serve potential and current students in Taylor and Lafayette counties. NFC is proud to announce that it has secured its new location at 319 Byron Butler Parkway, Perry.

With an anticipated opening in Spring 2023, NFC will unveil its Perry Location offerings in phases:

  • Phase I – Service Center: Admissions, financial aid assistance, enrollment, advising, tutoring, PERT testing, study stations, and online classes.
  • Phase II – Classroom Instruction
  • Phase III – Hands-On Labs

NFC recognizes the City of Perry, Florida Department of Transportation, and B&T Properties, LLC as partners in this process.

“The Perry Location is made possible through the relationships and support of the community,” states NFC Perry Location Director, Cindy Dunkle. “We look forward to the opportunities and growth this center will provide to local and nearby residents.”

In 2019, NFC opened its first off-campus location in Live Oak to provide collegiate services to students in Suwannee and Hamilton counties. The NFC Live Oak Location has expanded to now offer all courses required to achieve an Associate in Arts degree.
