MADISON, FL – The North Florida College Foundation proudly recognized several outstanding Hamilton
County High School seniors during its annual scholarship awards program, helping students
take the next step toward achieving their educational and career goals at North Florida
College.
This year, the Foundation awarded scholarships to six Hamilton County High School
students, including one recipient of the prestigious Presidential Scholarship, a full-ride
award that covers tuition and fees at North Florida College.
Receiving the Presidential Scholarship was Evelyn Cazarez, whose academic achievement, leadership and dedication earned her one of the Foundation's
highest honors.
Additional scholarship recipients included:
- Sarah Armstrong – W.L. & Neta Carter Scholarship ($1,500) and Caroline Mary Moffses Memorial Scholarship ($500)
- Ana Hidalgo – Caroline Mary Moffses Memorial Scholarship ($1,000) and First Federal Fund Endowment Scholarship ($1,000)
- Jesus Gregorio Martinez – W.L. & Neta Carter Scholarship ($2,000)
- Hayden Tabor – W.L. & Neta Carter Scholarship ($2,000)
In total, the NFC Foundation awarded $8,000 in scholarship funding to Hamilton County
High School seniors, in addition to the full value of the Presidential Scholarship.
These awards are made possible through the generosity of donors who believe in investing
in the future of North Florida College’s students and communities.
"Scholarships help remove financial barriers and open doors to opportunity," said
NFC Director of Resource Development Traci McClung. "We are proud to celebrate these
students and grateful to the donors whose generosity helps make higher education accessible
for the next generation of leaders."
The North Florida College Foundation supports student success through scholarships,
program support and educational initiatives that strengthen the college and the communities
