A new name, a new season and a familiar stage bring live entertainment back to North Florida.

MADISON, Fla. – The curtain is rising once again at North Florida College, and the community has a front-row invitation. NFC is bringing live performances back to the Van H. Priest Auditorium with The Sentinel Stage, a new chapter in the College's longtime tradition of bringing music, theater, and entertainment to North Florida.

Formerly known as the NFC Artist Series, The Sentinel Stage opens its 2026-27 season Friday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. with a special performance featuring Valdosta State University's Presidential Brass Quintet and Chamber Singers. Admission to the opening performance is free, with limited seating available.

The evening marks more than the beginning of a new season. It welcomes audiences back to a stage that has long gathered people for the arts in Madison.

"For years, the Van H. Priest Auditorium has been a place where our community comes together to enjoy the arts, and we're excited to bring that tradition back," said NFC President Dr. Jennifer Page. "We want people to rediscover what it means to enjoy a great performance right here in Madison. Whether you've attended shows at NFC for years or have never stepped inside our auditorium, there's a seat waiting for you."

The season opener will feature two of Valdosta State University's distinguished musical ensembles. The Presidential Brass Quintet, a select group of musicians who perform at special university and community events, will share the stage with VSU's Chamber Singers, a premier auditioned ensemble of 24 vocalists.

Opening night is just the beginning. The 2026-27 season brings a mix of musical theater, dinner theater and live music to the Van H. Priest Auditorium, with performances for audiences of all ages.
