Congratulations Class of 2017
NFCC honors graduates during commencement ceremony Dec. 12 at Van H. Priest Auditorium
MADISON, FL (December 12, 2017)– North Florida Community College honored 129 graduates during its commencement ceremony on Dec. 12 at Van H. Priest Auditorium. The Class of 2017 represents graduates from NFCC’s six-county service district – Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Madison, Suwannee and Taylor – and beyond.
Edward Meggs, President of Madison County Community Bank, gave the commencement address. Meggs encouraged the graduates to be courageous along life’s journey, to work hard, to not be afraid to take risks, to never stop learning, and to always give back and help others.
“Do not let anyone tell you what you cannot do, because nothing you set your mind to is impossible. Insist on heroes and then be one,” said Meggs as he addressed NFCC’s Class of 2017. “I challenge you as you go forward in life to become a role model for that young person that is coming behind you. Reach back, give back and make a difference in someone else’s life. I wish all of you graduates the very best in the years to come.”
