Hardee Center for the Arts Features Exhibit by The Georgia Photography Fanatic Jay Blanton in January
Community Invited to Gallery Talk and Opening Reception Thursday, Jan. 10
MADISON, FL - Jay Blanton, also known as The Georgia Photography Fanatic, is the North
Florida Community College Hardee Center for the Art's featured artist for January.
Blanton’s stunning landscape and aerial photos will be on exhibit throughout the month
with gallery hours open to the community.
Blanton will host a Gallery Talk, discussing his work and journey as an artist, at
11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10 and be the guest of honor at the exhibit’s opening reception
at 6 p.m. that night. All are invited to attend and encouraged to “bring a friend
and support the arts and local artists!”
Blanton is well known for the images he captures from around South Georgia and North
Florida (or anywhere else he is able to travel with his DSLR camera and drone). His
Facebook page, available at www.thegeorgiaphotographyfanatic.com, is filled with amazing
drone, landscape, nature, long exposure, and astrophotography images. Blanton regularly
works for and with communities, farmers, construction companies, businesses, individuals,
and many others to capture their unique piece of South Georgia and North Florida.
All are invited to meet the artist and help celebrate the NFCC Hardee Center for the
Arts January exhibit on Thursday, Jan. 10; Gallery Talk at 11 a.m. and Opening Reception
at 6 p.m. The Hardee Center for the Arts is located on the NFCC campus in Madison,
Fla. (Bldg. 11).
